"He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God."

Lord,

This question still echoes through history with eternal weight: "Who do you say that I am?"

It is not a question reserved for the disciples alone. It is the question every soul must answer. It is the question that separates religion from redemption, opinion from conviction, and eternity with You from eternity apart from You.

Father, let my answer never be shaped by culture, tradition, or popular opinion. Let it be anchored in the unchanging truth of Your Word.

Jesus, You are not merely a good teacher. You are not simply a prophet or a moral example. You are the Christ, the promised Messiah, the Son of the living God. You are the Lamb who was slain, the risen Savior, the reigning King, and the soon-coming Lord of glory.

Strengthen my faith so that I will confess You boldly before a world that increasingly denies Your name. Let my life proclaim what my lips confess. May my family see Christ in my character, my church see Christ in my service, and the lost see Christ in my witness.

Guard me from compromise. Keep me from creating a version of Jesus that fits my preferences instead of submitting to the Jesus revealed in Scripture. Let my heart bow before the King of kings and my life reflect joyful obedience to His Lordship.

Today, remind me that everything rises and falls on the answer to this question. If Jesus is truly the Christ, then He deserves my complete trust, my wholehearted worship, my unwavering obedience, and my entire life.

May I never be ashamed to declare with Peter,

"Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God."

Let that confession shape every decision I make today.
